ABOUT BEN ROBERTS

I have served the Lord in a variety of ways, in both for-profit and non-profit industries. I am a pastoral leader in the religious non-profit industry with experience in a wide-variety of positions and contexts. Since 2007-I have worked as a sole pastoral leader with a large mega-church to revitalize a small church, school and preschool that was looking for new life-I worked as a sole pastoral leader with a small church in a \"bedroom community\" in southern Colorado to provide creative initiatives for new ministry ventures in a fast growing area of the state-I worked as an associate pastoral leader with a medium size church in the suburbs of north Denver, collaborating with other staff and members to re-create family ministry, start new worship initiatives and launch small group ministry-I currently serve as Senior Pastor of a large church, school and preschool in suburban Chicago, working with other staff and members to discover a new mission, a new vision and new ministry goals to face an ever-changing community and culture. I have served in these contexts through visionary leadership, creative and inspirational oral and written communication, articulate and passionate teaching and formation, and deep, thoughtful problem solving. Passions and interests include-Leadership: Organizational, Transformational, Servant, Adaptive-Oral and written communication (preaching and teaching; creating my own sermon series, bible studies and small group and confirmation curriculum)-Mission (Inspiring and equipping others to reach a culture that no longer has the church on their radar screen)-Evangelism (Sharing their story, your story and His story through a variety of biblical and cultural narratives, metaphors and communication methods and models)-Theology and Culture (especially the Arts) Meyers-Briggs Personality Type: INFJ Clifton Strength Finders Top 5 Strengths: Strategic, Belief, Empathy, Connectedness, Learner Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Publisher. Computer and tech savvy. I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, consuming high-quality film and television productions, reading and writing fiction, folding origami, exercising and exploring both city and nature.
