About Ben R. Callanan

I have experience in volunteer leadership, project management, and customer service. Efficient, personable with progressive experience in commercial property management and research. I graduated in 2019 from Franklin and Marshall College with a Bachelor of Arts in Government, minor in Classics. Upon completing college I ultimately settled on a career commercial real estate. During the Covid-19 pandemic I completed the Harvard Business Online Pre-MBA certificate program and started working at Lincoln Property Company in commercial property management. After 2.5 years at Lincoln, I transitioned in early 2023 to CBRE to work in Research covering the NoVA office market out of Tysons Corner, VA. Also during the pandemic, I became interested in giving back to my community. In Spring of 2020, I joined the board of Second Chances NH (a nonprofit that provides funding for drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs), began giving blood, and started volunteering at Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland. A year later I started working at Catholic Charities as a volunteer ESOL tutor. Today, I am a member of the Safespot Junior Board in Fairfax County, VA, I help as a volunteer driver/crew leader for Martha\'s Table in DC, I am serving in service-based leadership roles in two networking groups, and I periodically volunteer with the Rock Creek Conservancy and City Blossoms. Community service engagement has changed the course of my life over the past two years.
