Conduct mineral resource and mineral land classification investigations and studies in accordance with SMARA (1975).• Compile and analyze geologic maps, publications, literature, geochemical data, and geophysical data to support mineral resource investigations.• Propose and complete geologic mapping for critical mineral and USGS funded Earth MRI related projects using topographic maps, aerial photos, and satellite imagery.• Evaluate and ascertain availability, quality, and life expectancy of mineral resource resources and reserves including summarization of historic production data.• Prepare mineral land classification and geologic reports with geologic maps and figures.• Use of Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, Adobe Illustrator, and other computer software to create and review reports to the CGS’s standards.• Participate in public outreach including response to public inquiries, attend professional meetings, and respond to State Mining and Geology Board inquiries about mineral resources in California.
