I have spent the majority of my career working in the Lean environment. I fully embrace the Lean methodology and strive to help other people see the benefits of Lean. We must learn to see our processes with an eye for improvement. There is waste in every process and it does take a trained eye to see the things that a customer is not willing to pay for. We must focus on the activities that add value to our customers, regardless if they are internal or external. I thrive in environments that need help in material flow, set-up reduction, visual controls, variation reduction and standard work. I use Lean to help develop the customer based relationships that help improve quality, on-time delivery and overall customer satisfaction. Lean can help any company reach its goals, but it takes a commitment and discipline to make the transformation happen. For me Lean is just not a job I go to and do five days a week, it’s a way of life.
