Ben Li is a Senior Director and actuary with 10 years of experience in the health and benefits consulting practice at WTW. Ben spearheads WTW’s proprietary Financial, Actuarial, and Analytics intellectual capital developments, including but not limited to: Individual Coverage HRA feasibility analysis, Pricing and Underwriting Tool, Incurred But Not Reported reserving model, Claims Seasonality Analysis, Carrier Network Selection tool, Demographic Analysis Tool, and Salary Band Contribution Modeler. He partners with large, complex employers to deliver strategic guidance focusing on talent attraction and retention, increasing employee engagement, and refining the performance and cost of employer sponsored benefit programs. He is an effective client team lead as demonstrated by his experience with taking complex processes and establishing efficient operating models. Ben is passionate about identifying ways to streamline and improve efficiencies in our work processes, product development, and scaling relevant best practices. His areas of expertise include: employee insights and demographic cohort development, medical vendor and network optimization modeling, benefit cost forecasting, and total benefit program plan design modeling and evaluation. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Ben holds a double B.A. in mathematics and economics from Hamilton College and an M.B.A from Columbia Business School.
