ABOUT BEN LEWIS

I have spent 25 years working as a finance leader within the defence and technology sectors. I have cross-functional experience as a Finance Director, Head of Shared Services, Head of M&A, Head of FP & A and Head of Investor Relations. I have led significant transformational projects, and completed numerous acquisitions and disposals as well as multiple post-acquisition integrations, realising millions of pounds in saved costs.Following graduation from the University of Durham with a First Class Honours degree, I trained with Smith and Williamson, where I qualified as an ACA between 1995 and before spending the next five years working in the Private Equity Transaction Support Group at Arthur Andersen / Deloitte / KPMG. In 2004, I joined QinetiQ in the Strategy and Planning team and progressed rapidly through the ranks in the finance division, working across a range of functions in both operational and strategic roles. I am proud to have participated in many successful projects which created sizeable value for shareholders, and to have completed several landmark acquisitions and disposals. From 2017, I worked for Dialog Semiconductor as Vice President, Group Finance, leading the FP & A and Business Control teams in Europe, Asia and the US. During my tenure, I led five acquisitions and one disposal, adding value and enhancing sector position. Additionally, I implemented large-scale change initiatives which have improved processes and procedures, saved costs and allowed the executive team to make more informed decisions with better quality data.In 2022 I joined the Vacuum Technique business of Atlas Copco, where I focused on strategy and M&A activities.Since 2024 I have enjoyed the world of interim contracting, working in corporate finance, corporate turnaround and restructuring. My excellent relationship skills go hand in hand with a profound understanding of the corporate landscape and how finance impacts upon business and vice versa.
