About Ben Leclair
I am a mechanical engineer in the medical device industry focused on contributions to advanced cancer treatments and encapsulated cell technologies. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics (3.55 GPA). I finished my first full-time co-op at Nuvera Fuel Cells as a test center engineer, where I assisted in the R&D of hydrogen-powered fuel cells. I finished my second full-time co-op at Arterex, formerly known as NextPhase Medical Devices, as a Jr. Mechanical Engineer where I worked in developing implantable pumps for advanced cancer treatment. I have now returned to Arterex as a full-time Mechanical Engineer designing and verifying a device used to freeze cancer cells- Experienced with engineering tools such as SOLIDWORKS, Abaqus FEA, AutoCAD, 3D printing, machining, laser welding, and woodworking- I am proficient at programming in C++, Python, Arduino, and MATLAB- Dean\'s List member. Cum Laude- Student Employee at Northeastern University as a physics review lecture teacher- AerospaceNU, an ASME member, and college of engineering ambassador.
