ABOUT BEN LARSEN

As a Senior Portfolio Advisor within Northern Trust’s Foundation & Institutional Advisors (FIA) team, I help nonprofit and institutional clients advance their missions through strategic investment management. FIA operates as an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO), offering fully discretionary portfolio oversight alongside value-added services such as planned giving, donor development, ESG integration, specialty asset management, and board governance support. Our national practice spans across the US, with dedicated teams of investment professionals and relationship managers. We serve over 430 U.S. nonprofit clients with assets ranging from a few million to several hundred million dollars, delivering customized solutions that balance performance, risk, and mission alignment.In my role, I collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to design and implement investment strategies tailored to each organization’s financial goals, liquidity needs, and governance structure. Whether advising on multi-manager platforms, sustainable investing, or specialty assets, I aim to provide thoughtful guidance that empowers clients to focus on what matters most - Their mission.
