I am the first author on a best practices guide to cooperation between worker\'s centers, and traditional organized labor groups. I conduct qualitative interviews and examine press coverage of cooperative actions to identify practices, strategies and tactics that enable these two types of organizations, who have opposed eachother occasionally in the past, to build partnerships which improve the safety and compensation of all workers. My position is funded by the ALF-CIO Lift grant.
