Voyage Manager for Suezmax and Aframaxs which trade Crude Oil and Fuels globally. Operating & duty cover for minimum 6 vessels 24 hours 7 days a week.• Pre Fixture operations: I assist with clearing vessels for cargoes / Terminals. Ensuring all Ship Certificates are UpToDateo Estimating comparing/confirming loadables/stowage plans with Capts to ensure they meet minimum CP qtys or maximize cargoes where possible to improve potential Freight. Also a second line of defense incase of error on vsls part where different load lines and water densities could become a problem (eg loading Brackish Water in Baltics and discharging Fresh Water in the US). o Ensuring sufficient bunkers are available to perform said voyage or optimize bunkeringo Complete all terminal / receiver / charterers warranties & questionnaires wether this be Online Qs or via Q88. o Complete Ship to Ship clearances and any associated Risk Assessments to ensure all vessels comply with OCIMF regulations • Maximizing voyage earnings• Ensure all Bill of Lading are correct and true. Any Bill of Lading will also undergo a thorough SDN (Specially Designated National) check to ensure no illegal activity form part of an STS vsl / Consignor / Consignee or notify party. • Ensuring all voyages are conducted in the safest most efficient way possible, health and safety as paramount. Always complying with Company Legislation • Ensuring optimum voyage operations & minimizing costs where possible. This could be from advising Capt through weather fronts, speed up/downs instructions, or heating recommendations so no unnecessary bunkers are consumed. • Familiarity of charter parties and relevant contracts to make sure maximum revenue to owners, • Keep complete familiarity with local procedures and requirements • Ensure vessel remains up-to-date with all inspections (Sires, Port State control)
