Inventor, Innovator, Fund Raiser, Team Builder, Leader.As Director of Technology & Innovation, my role centres on the technical development and exploitation of scalable process technologies that address global challenges within the low-carbon and circular economy sectors. As the inventor of Plasmergy and Nutragy and co-developer of Solvergy, I have grown a multidisciplinary team that specialises in process technology innovation, spanning from front-end feasibility and due diligence, through to financial modelling, process scale-up, compliance, customer discovery and IP protection. Operating at the interface between academia and industry has enabled me to establish technology innovation relationships with leading universities and research institutes globally, whilst also enabling access to laboratories to support our consulting and technology development activities. With a significant knowledge of the innovation funding landscape, including InnovateUK, Research Councils, BEIS, H2020 and private investors, I have attracted in excess of £15M in recent years to support the innovation ambitions of both Stopford and our partners. As an Honorary Research Fellow at Lancaster University, and an active member of energy and environment advisory groups, I also co-supervise a number of industry led postgraduate research projects. Finally, as a driven and highly motivated member of the Stopford Board I am also heavily engaged in developing the strategic direction of the business as well as the day-to-day operation.
