ABOUT BEN HELPS

I am a proven thought leader and business developer focused on data and digital strategy in financial services.I joined HyperJar in September 2021 to help establish, govern and analyse the data assets that sit at the core of its business, while ensuring that HyperJar users have the tools to manage their data privacy. HyperJar\'s sister business, HyperLayer, provides tech and data services on a global basis, licensing its unique technology and working with partner organisations to stand up world-first, innovative applications in consumer spending, merchant loyalty, corporate cards, supply chain and commercial lending. HyperJar is the first application to run on HyperLayer\'s platform, showcasing its consumer spending functionality and merchant loyalty platform.I co-founded Factern Ltd. to create a shareable metadata layer, providing a trusted common basis with which to register entities, map relationships, record historical events and instruct future actions. This layer helped to tackle the constraints imposed by siloed data architectures, and reduce the cost, risk, effort and friction associated with traditional processes and user journeys. Prior to this, I was a Partner in Oliver Wyman\'s Retail and Business Banking practice, where I worked closely with private- and public-sector clients, both to develop strategy and policy and to address the frictional costs inherent in key customer processes such as KYC, onboarding, AML and risk underwriting.I have extensive experience in both functional and local leadership roles, and sit on Advisory Board of TERN (The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network).
