About Ben Heffron

I grew up in the shadow of the Tetons in beautiful Alta, Wyoming. Seeking a change of scenery, I enlisted in the US Navy as an Advanced Electronics technician. My 10 year tour of duty included home ports of Pearl Harbor, San Diego, Cheyenne, WY and ended back home in the wonderful city of Idaho Falls. Over that time, I completed two Western Pacific deployments in support of the War on Terror, visiting 18 countries and experiencing the cultures of the world. My professional experience includes numerous certifications in networking, fiber optics, management and sales, as well as electronic security, commercial and residential automation, and video surveillance. However, my true passion lies in the solar industry, helping people achieve energy independence and reducing fossil fuel dependency.
