Agar Scientific was established in the early 70s by Alan Agar, a highly esteemed member of the microscopy community. Working from his own kitchen, he built his small business up to the multinational company it is today. His success can be largely attributed to his valuation of high quality and customer care, which remain two core principles of the business.One of the first products off the kitchen table was his calibration specimen, which remains an important product for Agar Scientific. Today we are providing a wide range of consumables and instruments, and manufacturing grids, filaments and calibration specimens in our own laboratories.As a manufacturer we are always looking to be at the cutting edge. We are very receptive to any custom requests and we welcome technical queries on any of our existing products. I will try my utmost to:1.
