About Ben Gurin

I am the Founder and Steering Committee Chair of the Queer Museum & Library Network (QMLN), an organization that brings together institutions, associations, and individuals to collaborate on LGBTQ+-themed programs, empower LGBTQ+ workers, and foster welcoming spaces for LGBTQ+ visitors at museums, libraries, and other public centers of educational and cultural engagement around the world.I\'m also a nonprofit manager of events, projects, and development. I\'m passionate about building more efficient systems, facilitating collaboration across departments and organizations, leading new initiatives, providing outstanding customer service, and ensuring employee wellness.At the Center for Jewish History, I managed our Visitor Experience team of over 40 front-of-house staff and volunteers as we welcomed visitors a day to the groundbreaking Anne Frank The Exhibition. Previously, I managed our building calendar of over 300 events annually. I coordinated logistics for conferences, symposia, galas, board meetings and public programs, liaising with partner organizations and rental clients.I am always eager to connect, brainstorm, and collaborate with other passionate individuals, especially in nonprofits and the arts.
