Mamoní Valley Preserve is a non-profit organization dedicated to thoughtful stewardship of a watershed in central Panama. The preserve is located within the largest remaining stretch of contiguous rainforest of the Tumbes-Choco-Magdalena ecoregion, one of the top 25 Biodiversity Hotspots in the world. Conservation work in the valley is focused on preserving this critical forest corridor, mitigating climate change, and protecting abundant endemic biodiversity. I joined the Board of Directors in August 2022 as Chair of the Research Committee and transitioned to the Advisory Board in February 2025.
