Work with Engineers, Supervisors, and Operators to understand the gaps in documentation and how best to alleviate those gaps. Create process flows to establish stable processes and reduce variability. Work closely with Operations and Engineering to create work instructions that are highly detailed and easy for operators to follow so jobs can be completed successfully. Lead teams to update and create documentation for a complex, vertically integrated manufacturing facility. Will leverage tools such as Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, and other enterprise level applications. Review documentation with engineering and supervisors to ensure accuracy. Update documents based on findings from excursions, continuous improvement activities, and operator feedback. Outline PPE requirements and safety aspects in work instructions to ensure safe process is followed. Be trained on and understand critical manufacturing processes; utilize that knowledge to create on-the-job training resources that will allow successful evaluations of Operators during the certification process. Identify strategic improvement opportunities within documentation process.
