As an alumnus of South Park Children\'s Theatre, everything has come full circle since I now have the honor of directing some of the children\'s shows each summer at South Park Theatre. I cast, schedule, block, and fine-tune shows with casts of sometimes as high as +20 kids between the ages of 7-18. Our rehearsals and shows offer the opportunity to mentor the kids in the fundamentals and nuances of acting and theater performance. I also have the pleasure of teaching the annual playwriting class for the children\'s theatre, working with a smaller group of approximately 6-8 student writers. Over the course of 7 weeks, I teach them theater history, plot, characterization, dialogue, and more, all culminating in a showcase with professional actors reading their polished works for an audience.
