Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the Senior Center and programs in the Division; recommends user fees, scheduling systems, facility use requirements and other policies to ensure the efficient and effective use of facilities; and implements policies and procedures2. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in change efforts for policies and procedures. Monitor program compliance with laws, rules and regulations related to provisions of recreation and community services4. Direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the City\'s Senior Center including monitoring the work of contractors or outside agencies (custodial contract, Meals on Wheels programs, senior transportation contract, social services contract)5. Select, train, supervise and evaluate the work of 10 staff; direct; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems; assign work activities, projects and programs; monitor work flow; review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures6. Prepare and monitor annual program budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to the established budget7. Solicit donations from outside agencies and organizations; coordinate fund-raising activities; generate funds from external resources; make presentations and participate in revenue-generating activities8. Coordinate the development and distribution of the Senior Center Newsletter9. Perform a variety of duties related to public relations including publicizing recreational programs and activities, including preparing press releases, newsletters, flyers, pamphlets and brochure10. Research, prepare and present written and/or oral reports on a variety of community services topics to the City Council, City Manager and Department Directors and maintain those records
