Intermission Film is a leading creative agency for film and television, specialising in a broad range of marketing services from cutting trailers, editorial, post-production, social media, concept and poster art, behind the scenes footage and interviews. It is a rapidly growing, agile and lean business with offices in London (head), Amsterdam, New York and Melbourne and employs around 120 staff globally currently. Our main studio clients are Netflix, Disney, Amazon MGM, Warner Brothers Discovery, HBO, Studio Canal, AMC and numerous others.• Working directly with the founder/owner, this is effectively a Managing Director/General Manager role, and one of three positions that span the global offices.• Heavily involved in determining business direction and expansion strategies.• Oversight of many aspects of the business, including property and facilities, people, security, insurance, cashflow and currency management, credit control, purchasing, IT and associated workflows.• 6 direct reportees across the four offices, from Operations, People, Technical/Engineering and Facilities.• Responsibility for redefining, streamlining and determining business activity from post-production procedures through to recruitment and competency/salary frameworks.• My main objective currently is to enable greater collaboration between the international offices to allow the company to make more efficient use of its resources and provide our clients with a true 24/7 service, as some expect with very short deadlines. This is being achieved by improved technology (hardware and software) and adapting workflows.
