About Ben Chuanlong du

I graduated from University of Science and Technology of China (one of the top universities in China) with a Bachelor\'s degree in statistics in 2008. And then further pursued a PhD in statistics in Iowa State University (whose Statistics department ranked top 10 in the US) and graduated in 2014. With my statistics background, I have very solid knowledge in traditional machine learning, A/B testing, experiment design, etc.I have 8 years industry experience among which 6+ years was working for eBay. I have always been curious and hunger about new technologies. During my past working experience, I have developed strong knowledge in deep learning, big data and engineering to become a full-stack machine learning engineer. I has applied my good knowledge of AI to drive the growth of eBay\'s marketing business.Details of projects can be found in my resume. I have diversified business background as I have worked for most marketing channels including Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Paid Social, Paid Search and eBay Partner Network (ePN) of the Global Growth org in eBay.Besides significant contribution to companies that I worked for, I\'m also very active in the open-source community. I\'m a member of the JupyterLab org on GitHub, closely involved in Poetry, PyTorch, TensorBoad, Rust, Spark projects, etc. by submitting RFCs, bug report, feature requests, etc.I\'m maintaining 50+ high-quality Docker images, some portable Python environment for running deep learning models on PySpark, and also developing and maintaining a few interesting Python libraries (see details in my resume).I\'m a personal of great passion and is continuously learning. This can be demonstrated by my person website at which is purely technical and has been maintained for more than 10 years. I believe I will a great additional to machine learning teams and will bring lots of new insights and technologies skills to raise the bar of teams that I works for/with.
