Create and execute strategies for engagement with state government officials, patients, and stakeholders to support achievements of public policy priorities and that address risks to Acadia and patient access, focusing on target states• Analyze state public policy proposals, identify priorities, and develop slides or educational materials to present to colleagues regarding risks and opportunities to portfolio products• Engage state governmental entities (governors’ offices, state administration, state legislatures) to introduce the company• Engage political and administrative officials regarding matters concerning facilities and employees• Work cross-functionally to influence Medicaid coverage and access policies• Monitor states’ prescription drug affordability board activities for potential threats to access for our medicines• Work with patient advocacy team to support engagement by disease advocacy groups on state policy matters• Work with AIR, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Legal, and other teams regarding approaches to ensure patient access to our products. As appropriate, liaise and support field reimbursement team regarding specific reimbursement or payment and access matters• Engage and support trade associations (BIO, state trade associations) to advance policy positions and to support those organizations’ advocacy and policy engagement. Serve on relevant policy and other appropriate committees• Work with industry partners on key legislative and policy matters in states to ensure an environment that supports innovation and access. Find opportunities to create and lead coalitions among companies interested in similar state-level issues• Develop strategies to support pipeline products related to Prader-Willi and Alzheimer’s
