I lead the Consulting and Advisory Services team globally for Moody\'s Insurance operating unit, helping customers understand and quantify climate and catastrophe risk, embed our models, and develop best practices around risk understanding. For over 30 years, Risk Management Solutions (RMS) has helped to pioneer the catastrophe risk industry. Now part of Moody\'s, we continue to lead in innovation by combining advanced science with technology to make every risk known. We build comprehensive risk models, software, SaaS technology, cloud-based applications, and APIs to help insurers, reinsurers, financial services organisations, and the public sector outperform by evaluating and managing global risk. Leaders across multiple industries can address the risks of tomorrow through RMS Risk Intelligence™ (RI)—our open, unified cloud platform for global risk—enabling them to tap into RMS HD models, rich data layers, intuitive applications, and APIs. ABOUT BEN BROOKES
I’ve held a variety of positions over the best part of 2 decades at RMS, cutting my teeth in our consulting team, and helping to build our products and services for the ILS market. More recently, I led at team exploring new market opportunities for RMS, and helping clients deploy RMS risk insights in exciting new ways. My current role brings be back full-circle, to grow our services team as we help customers establish best practice for understanding and managing risk. Risk Management Solutions (RMS) has shaped the world’s view of risk for over 30 years, leading the catastrophe risk industry that we helped to pioneer. Our unmatched science, technology, and 300+ catastrophe risk models help (re)insurers and other organizations evaluate and manage the risks of natural and man-made disasters. Now, as a part of Moody\'s Analytics, we are excited to drive the next chapter of growth in the understanding of the impacts of climate change and how these can be managed across so many different activities. We help organizations outperform and the world become more resilient by making every risk known. I love solving new problems with talented people I can learn from, and I’m lucky to be able to do that every day with customers and colleagues, as well as with my young family, who keep me on my toes even more than work!
