ABOUT BEN BODEN

I lead Talent Acquisition for the Global IT function at City Electrical Factors / City Electric Supply, reporting directly to the CIO and hiring across EMEA and North America. My focus is building practical, scalable hiring capability that supports business growth. Over the past few years I’ve transformed our approach from 100% agency reliance to a predominantly direct sourcing model by implementing Lever (ATS/CRM), hiring and mentoring an internal team, and introducing structured hiring practices and data. This has reduced agency usage to under 5% and delivered multi-million £/$ savings.I’ve recruited internationally across the UK, Europe, North America and Australia, including senior appointments up to VP level, partnering closely with directors and senior leaders on critical hires that shape organisational capability.Alongside hiring, I’ve led initiatives that improve how we operate as a global function — from talent analytics and manager frameworks to recognition programmes and communications improvements during periods of change and transformation. Before joining CEF/CES, I worked in talent roles within TransUnion and EMIS, as well as earlier in my career in agency recruitment, which gave me a strong commercial foundation and an understanding of hiring from both client and supplier perspectives.I’m particularly interested in how AI and labour market shifts are changing technology careers and what that means for future hiring strategies.Take a look at our current opportunities, click here: work for CEF/CES but the opinions expressed on LinkedIn are my own!
