This involved driving the evidence strategy and engaging physician societies (SVS, SIR, ASDIN and RPA) resulting in a HOPD payment rate of over and a physician office payment of Overturned three negative local coverage determinations (LCDs), one with a Medicare Administrative Contractor (NGS) and two with commercial payers (Aetna, BCBS) representing over $150M in business across the U.S.• Successfully petitioned CMS to change coding and reimbursement for an existing product, enabling the procedure to be done in physician offices, a new market which was previously untapped due to lack of reimbursement• Utilized health economic evidence to influence CMS that resulted in an increase in reimbursement of over per procedure, a 65% increase• Secured Medicare Contractor (MAC) payments of $12,500 for an innovative procedure in physician offices (global payment) and professional payments over $1,200 for physicians performing the procedure in the HOPD and ASC settings• Led a field reimbursement team that obtained coverage and payment from major US commercial payers such as United, Aetna and BCBS Anthem with procedure reimbursement ranging from to over Overcame CMS denial of coverage for a Category B IDE study, resulting in over $1M in clinical study savings
