As a Rail & Rail Systems Engineering Degree Apprentice in Project Delivery at Siemens Mobility, I am actively implementing the future of railway engineering. My journey is based in the Wales & Western Project Delivery section, where I am gaining exposure to various technologies from mechanical signal boxes to computer and digital-based interlockings.My apprenticeship program is designed to provide me with a broad understanding of the industry, and as such, I am rotating through different disciplines within the company. This has allowed me to acquire hands-on experience in areas such as Signalling Design, Project Engineering, Signal Works Testing, Customer Service and Signalling Networks (with more to come).Each placement offers unique challenges and learning opportunities, enabling me to develop a versatile skill set while contributing to Siemens Mobility’s mission. I am passionate about leveraging these experiences to drive innovation and excellence in the railway engineering sector.
