ABOUT BEN ATWOOD
Ben grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey, and is passionate about intentional and thoughtful Jewish community. He spent two years studying at Yeshivat Har Etzion in Israel, graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva College with a B.A. in English, was a Straus Scholar at YU’s Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought, received smikhah (rabbinic ordination) from Yeshiva University’s Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, and a graduate-level certificate in Mental Health Counseling from Ferkauf School of Psychology. Ben has extensive experience working with Jewish young adults at OU-JLIC, Camp Moshava IO, NCSY, the Tikvah High School Scholars Program, and various fellowships, and has always been awestruck by the amazing communities created on college campuses. Ben loves thinking about ways to improve the world through the wisdom of religion, Torah, and secular culture, and finding the smoothest hummus around town (which is now ATL).
