ABOUT LUCA BELLARDINI

I was born in Rome in 1993. Milan is where I live. After graduating in Economics and Finance (Master’s Degree, major in Finance) at LUISS Guido Carli University (October 2017), I achieved \"with Distinction\" a Ph.D. in Management (Banking & Finance Track) at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” (December 2020). Currently I am a PostDoc Researcher at Bocconi University, GREEN Research Center, where I partake in a research project on Circular Finance (i.e, the financial aspects of transitioning to a circular economy). Moreover, I have been serving and am currently work as Teaching Assistant at multiple LUISS, Bocconi and University of Milan courses, at either Bachelor’s or Master’s Degrees, in the fields of corporate finance, banking, economics, and accounting. In addition to this, I serve on the board of advisors — that is, I provide strategic and financial advice — to a start-up company with a circular business model; and work as editor for the Economics book series published by Luiss University Press. Finally, I serve as member of the Scientific Board of Associazione Guido Carli, a non-profit organization named after a great Governor of the Bank of Italy, whose economic thought it aims at spreading, even by making his approach to public policies live into the present. Other than sustainable finance, the fields whereto I have most often directed my interests are the the banking industry, in terms of both managerial issues and prudential supervision (in fact, my PhD thesis revolves around banks’ shareholding bases, investigating how it contributes to shaping performance and risk-taking), economic history (in particular, policies addressed to the financial sector), and financial law (in particular, lending and investment services).
