As Co-Executive Chair of the Environmental Justice Alliance, I lead initiatives focused on promoting environmental equity and advocating for underserved communities. I manage and mentor a dedicated team of board members, overseeing strategic planning, coordinating projects, and fostering collaboration to drive impactful change. Through policy advocacy, community engagement, and educational programs, I work to address environmental injustices and create sustainable solutions. My role also involves building partnerships and ensuring that marginalized communities have a voice in environmental decision-making.

ABOUT BELLA ROSEMARIE CROSLAND BELL
I am an Environmental Studies major at UC Santa Barbara, deeply passionate about justice and equity in the environmental sector. As Co-Executive Chair of the Environmental Justice Alliance, I work to amplify voices in underserved communities and advocate for policies that promote environmental fairness and sustainability.In addition to my academic foundation, I spent a transformative summer abroad in Belize, where I gained hands-on experience in conservation fieldwork. This experience not only deepened my understanding of biodiversity and ecosystems but also solidified my commitment to protecting the natural world. I also hold the T.A. Barron Certificate in Environmental Leadership, which has further equipped me with the skills to approach complex environmental challenges with strategic, innovative solutions.As part of the Environmental Leadership Incubator (ELI) program, I’ve co-developed an initiative focused on addressing the issue of single-use plastics and the inaccessibility of sustainable products on campus. Together with my partner, I am working to establish a sustainable resource refill station for students to access hygiene and basic needs products without relying on single-use plastics. This project aligns with my commitment to closing the gap between sustainability and accessibility, making environmentally friendly alternatives available to all students at no cost.With a strong background in spatial analysis, I am eager to continue honing my technical and analytical skills. My ultimate goal is to work as an environmental consultant, helping organizations and communities navigate environmental challenges while promoting sustainability and equity.Currently, I am actively seeking internships that will help me grow my environmental expertise and expand my skill set in real-world settings. I’m excited to connect with others in the field and contribute to projects that drive positive environmental change.
