ABOUT BELJEET K DAFFU

SENIOR HIGHER EDUCATION PROFESSIONAL I am an academic professional with 15 years’ experience of working in the higher education sector. I started working at QAHE in 2012 and my most recent position is Director of Digital Delivery. In addition to this role, I lead as Dean of Learning and Teaching at QAHE. Prior to this, I was in programme management roles in this institution and other HE institutions. At QA Higher Education, my role is multifaceted, I have responsibility for leading the Learning and Teaching Faculty across QAHE, where I manage the team in supporting academic staff development to offer a high-quality student learning journey. The other function of my role involves leading the digital development of academic programmes, my focus is specifically on digital pedagogy within programme design, although not limited to, and supports the development in all related elements of product design. I am passionate about education and an advocate of Lifelong Learning. My commitment to this is evident through my own development in education, I hold an undergraduate BSc in Marketing with Management from Middlesex University, an MBA from Plymouth University, a PGCE from Greenwich University and I’m now in the final stages to completing my Doctorate in Education from Reading University. As an academic researcher, my doctorate is focused on managers working in the private HE sector; my research is an interplay of core themes including academic career, organisational culture, professional identity and continuing professional development.
