ABOUT BELINDA THAI
I am a Sociology and Public Policy student at UC Riverside (Dean\'s Honors List) with a strong interest in pursuing a career in social work. My experience spans case management, resource coordination, and community health education, where I\'ve supported diverse populations in achieving self-sufficiency and accessing vital resources.As a Family Empowerment Services Intern with the San Bernardino County Housing Authority, I worked directly with clients to connect them to employment, childcare, food, and housing resources while also contributing to program evaluation and housing policy discussions. At Planned Parenthood, I serve as a Peer Sex Educator, engaging the community in reproductive health education and promoting access to inclusive resources. I also volunteered at a children\'s center in Nepal, supporting individuals with special needs and gaining experience in inclusive care practices. On campus, I continue to grow my leadership and mentorship skills as both a Resident Advisor and Peer Mentor, providing guidance, advocacy, and culturally responsive support to students from all backgrounds.I am passionate about advancing equity, empowering individuals through education and resources, and preparing for a career in social work where I can make a meaningful impact on people\'s lives.
