ABOUT BELINDA DANTLEY

Belinda Dantley is the Dean for Diversity Equity and Inclusion, formerly the Director of the Office of Inclusion and Diversity Education at Saint Louis University School of Law. Belinda received her B.A. from Temple University and her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law. She is happy to work in a place that helped her grow as a lawyer and is excited to help students do the same. Belinda is dedicated to creating and fostering spaces for inclusive learning and diverse viewpoints. In her role as Dean she trains students, faculty, alumni, and outside organizations and firms on many topics including implicit bias, cultural competency, creating spaces of equity, and having difficult conversations around race, oppression, and marginalization. She is a former Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) for children in foster care, with a nonprofit organization, Voices for Children. Belinda served in several roles at Voices for Children including, the Assistant Director for St. Louis City office where she supervised the child advocacy attorneys, coordinated the organization’s intern and externship program, and facilitated trainings for the volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). She enjoyed the work she did as a GAL with Voices for Children and continues her commitment to the mission as a CASA for a teenager in foster care.
