ABOUT BELHASSEN DAHMEN

I am Belhassen Dahmen, 29 years old, a Tunisian system engineer and software developer. I graduated from the National Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology of Tunis in 2018 with a Network, Telecommunications and Embedded systems diploma. I am working as a Monitoring Operations Engineer at adjust GmBH.I am responsible of implementing and maintaining a highly available monitoring solution using open source software and thoroughly crafted scripts to ensure a visibility of more than servers across 4 datacenters. As well as other tasks such as monitoring auditing and solving infrastructure related issues.Through my previous professional experiences, I had also to work among my team in numerous projects implementing various servers technology going from IBM to Dell/EMC and HP, and using a variety of strongly established LAN and SAN constructor such as Cisco or Brocade. I strongly participated in the enhancement of the deployment effectiveness using my development skills by designing various tools that helped my team faster analyze configuration or simplifying monitoring of our VMWare vCloud Director plateforme, just to name a few. Starting from an early age, I was tremendous at learning various computer science sub-fields like programming, electronics and system designing. At the age of 12, I was part of a nonprofit organization called Tunisian Association for Youth and Science where I occupied the post of a Robotic and Microcontroller trainer for many scientific camps and participated in several robotics contests (fighting robots, pathfinder robots, etc.). Later after, I took various freelance jobs going from web development, IoT applications and especially Linux based environment design. Numerous are the projects that I took part in, from EMC storage appliances monitoring and reporting interface, to a whole automated ventilation system as a response to the covid-19 outbreak in my home country Tunisia, to mention but a few.
