ABOUT BEHSAT EKICI
I\'m an experienced Data Scientist, AI/ML Engineer and TensorFlow/PyTorch Developer. I have been teaching applied AI courses focusing on \"National Security\",\"Intelligence\" and \"Business\" and \"Financial Intelligence\". All AI courses are applied in computer labs and we build ML/DL algorithms using advanced Ptyhon libraries such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, Keras and ScikitLearn. Moreover, I teach specialist courses on Financial Intelligence (FININT), Data Analytics (Python, Power BI), Data Visualization (PowerBI), Geospatial Intelligence (with ArcGIS, GeoAI) at the Intel Department. My current research focuses on machine learning (Scikit-Learn) and deep learning (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras) algorithms for national security, business intelligence & financial intelligence. I mostly focus on NLP (Sentiment Analysis, Named Entity Recognition), Computer Vision (Surveillance, Object Detection, Target Acquisition), Anomaly Detection and Transaction Monitoring (Fraud detection, AML). Previously, I was head of analytics at KOM, where I conducted and supervised intelligence analysis (with i2 Analyst Notebook, iBase, SQL, ArcGIS, Python) at thousands of investigations on complex transnational networks and companies. I supervised nationwide risk assessment projects that focused on profiling of customers, companies, passengers, criminals, couriers, cargo and containers. I contributed to numerous ECO, EU, GI-TOC, Interpol, NATO, OSCE, SELEC, UN and US projects designed for enhancing the analytical/investigative capacities of African, Afghan, Caucasian, Central Asian, Eastern European, Pakistani and Turkish institutions. I managed/supervised hundreds of research based projects. I chaired multi-institutional threat assessment studies and wrote national analytical reports based on qualitative and quantitative research.
