For over three decades, I have worked in the functions of supply chain management Including Material Management, Procurement, Vendor Development, Logistics, Inventory Management, Contract Management and gained expertise in MFG PRO/ AS400/Oracle/SAP MMS Modules. I have played active role in planning & budgeting of material function. Currently working as General Manager – Commercial in West Coast Paper Mills Ltd. I have worked diligently at procurement of raw materials, packing materials, coal and fuel, stores and spares, project procurement and services for FMCG, Polymers, Paper, Chlor Alkali, Cement and Power plants. I do have knowledge of handling imports, coordination with Customs, CHA and Transporters. In my career span, I have also been managing vendor database, along with identification and selection of vendors, evaluation of offers, negotiation and finalization of purchase orders, vendor evaluation & performance ratings, cost saving initiatives, product development and import substitution, follow-up with vendors, coordination with stores, accounts, engineering, and production departments.With thorough professional experience in procurement of engineering spares & services for 30 MW power plants, 300 TPD caustic soda plant, 30 MT aluminum chloride plant and 50 MT bleaching powder plant, I have also executed project procurement for Caustic Plant Capacity Expansion and installation of new 50mt SBP plant. Additionally, I have been involved with procurement of inputs for Paper making such as wood pulp, chemicals, packaging materials, machine clothing. I have managed logistics at Chennai/ Bombay ports of about MT/month pulp and ESKP, imported from Indonesia, Canada and European countries.
