ABOUT BEDRI PARLAR

I am currently a Morrill Scholar studying Neuroscience with Honors at THE Ohio State University. I am a polyglot and linguaphile, currently studying a 6th language (Arabic).In high school, I founded multiple DEI related student organizations and initiated a student organization to promote access to premedical opportunities for first-generation college students. I have a diverse work background and excel both as a leader and a team member.I\'ve contributed over 200 hours of community service, providing free tutoring to at-risk students and helping build a park for a local inner-city charter school. Most recently, I worked with the Red Cross in hosting my high school\'s very first blood drive and fostered a continuous semesterly partnership with the Red Cross. During this time, I also worked 40 hours a week as a supervisor at Tim Hortons while maintaining a 4.67 GPA.I graduated high school with a STEM Diploma with Honors, Summa Cum Laude, Valedictorian, and received multiple leadership, excellence, and service awards. I love learning new things, and I am passionate about helping others.I consider myself to be a jack of all trades, I offer valuable and diverse insights to any organization, regardless of the role. I am driven to excel in every field and thrive on continuous self-improvement. I am currently looking for clinical experience and research opportunities.
