Working as an externally facing software engineer, helping businesses use the Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp) better through the use of technology. I started my time at Meta (Facebook)working with mobile-first or mobile-only customers, building out custom technical solutions, and holistically working on product improvements for customers within Facebook code.I progressed from this to representing the company in public in technology standards forums like the W3C, mostly focussed on the topics of data and user privacy. This topic sits at the intersection of legal, product development, and privacy enhancing technology and I find it fascinating.
