ABOUT BEDAN NGUGI

Hi My name is Bedan, I’m a Junior studying Mechanical Engineering interested in an opportunity for a full-time position, Entry level Mechanical Engineer.Over the past couple years, I served my community in working at Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston, helping young children in low-income communities with homework and after school programs geared to deter them from a bad choice. In my time there, I have witnessed the positive impact that I have imprinted in the kids by their way they change their behavior and look to one day follow in my footsteps and go to college.On campus, I’ve worked on different engineering projects both inside and outside of class, like NASA L’Space and NCAS academy, but most importantly I’m involved in NSBE on the marketing team. I lead a committee in the creation of UH NSBE Short Stories, a series of videos and mixed media geared to increase the digital footprint of my chapter online. These experiences have taught me that I love working with people and I’m really looking for a position where I get to collaborate with different engineers from different disciplines
