In my role at Birdsall, I support a board of six directors by delivering key strategic projects that are important to the business but often fall outside their day-to-day capacity. I act as a bridge between the board and the wider team, ensuring that our values and culture are not only communicated but actively lived throughout the organisation.I originally joined the business following a company-wide training initiative focused on defining and embedding our core values and behaviours. This resulted in a comprehensive cultural strategy, which I helped launch through a company-wide event and a practical implementation plan that shaped how we operate daily.One of my key responsibilities has been leading the rollout of a new HR system, including training nearly 100 staff across all levels of the business to ensure consistent and effective use.As we approach our 50th anniversary, I have also led the modernisation of our brand—respecting our heritage while positioning us for future growth.In addition, I implemented our Net Zero strategy, establishing the processes to capture, track, and report environmental data annually.I continue to work closely across both HR and marketing, driving forward initiatives that respond to the evolving business landscape while keeping our people, culture, and brand at the heart of everything we do.
