ABOUT BECKY JOHNSON

Becky Johnson is an award-winning trusted professional with experience in government, nonprofit and corporate sectors. She has built robust teams and broad coalitions in two industries to help solve some of the most complex problems by achieving clear, measurable goals with private-sector investments. Johnson has expertise in international relations, diplomacy, sustainability, public health, human rights, public policy, public education, economics, and other issue areas.Johnson is the Chief of Staff for the Center for International Private Enterprise. She helps the organization promote freedom and open markets by advancing democratic principles globally. As Kimberly-Clark\'s Sr. Director of Global Public Policy, she created and executed on strategies demonstrating how companies could be a part of the solution on global issues. She received six awards for protecting $110M+ in annual sales, building government partnerships on vaccine distribution, getting 40+ stranded employees and their family members to safety during COVID-19 shutdowns and the war in Ukraine, among other achievements.Johnson was the Executive Director of the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation (HWCF), a marketplace-shifting, CEO-led national obesity-reduction initiative supported by leaders in government and public health.A common-sense leader known for immediate and actionable solutions, Johnson helped grow the HWCF coalition to over 300 members, heading the partnership programs that attracted professional athletes, manufacturers, retailers, restaurants, trade associations and NGOs. Johnson developed strategic alliances with HWCF’s members to leverage the power of their brands to promote healthy lifestyles. Her valuable and trustworthy guidance contributed to a calorie commitment that reduced 6.4 trillion calories from the U.S. food supply and provided the business case for investing in healthier products.Johnson’s dynamic direction in the creation and expansion of the Together Counts™ program, a social health activism campaign, enabled it to reach nearly 50M students in the U.S. and over 9M in Latin America.Before HWCF, as the Director of Scheduling for Secretary Carlos Gutierrez at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Johnson influenced protocol and meeting strategy, coordinated with senior staff and the White House, advanced Trade Missions to Vietnam and China and 20+ domestic trips with Senators, Congressmen, Heads of State and private sector leaders. She also advanced events for President George W. Bush, First Lady Laura Bush and the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security.
