About Becky Breeden

My career started in journalism and quickly took a turn to non-profits and non-profit technology when I joined a state-level trade association. Back in the 90s we were in one of the early digital transformations with the advent of specialty relational databases (e.g. AMS), email, and the internet. I somehow found myself deeply involved in a variety of implementations and ultimately joined a software company in the DC area. I have spent the past 30+ years growing increasingly engaged in the inspiring work of the association community and in the technologies and tools that drive their missions. In addition to purpose-driven technology leadership, I developed a deep passion for healthcare, medical specialization, and ultimately, emergency medicine. Working with health and medical societies is a passion, but I carried my passion into my volunteer work when I became a nationally registered and state-certified EMT. I live in Maryland with my husband who is also an association professional. I have two children and far too many pets. I am an avid runner, gardener, and lover of books.
