ABOUT BECKY PAUL ODIONHIN

I have spent a lot of my time at college doing what I love, which is learning and applying new skills, knowledge, and methods towards strategizing, solving complex problems, and improving systems and processes. In doing so, I have completed multiple certifications in community engagement, innovation, mentored research, leadership, and six sigma. I am an Industrial Engineering Student at the University at Buffalo with a Management Minor which together provides me with more skills and knowledge to continue doing what I love and prepare me for future entrepreneurial endeavors. I am actively involved in various leadership and service roles on campus. I am currently the President/Chief Executive Officer of the University at Buffalo Student Association Inc. which is the undergraduate student government and a non-for-profit (501(c)3) organization. In this role, I oversee a team of 80+ part-time student employees and 7 full-time professional staff members. Our main goal is to enhance the college experiences of undergraduate students and we do so through our 190+ clubs, fun low to no cost events, and advocating for students’ needs and interests at the university, local, state, and federal levels. I have also held other roles like being a Resident Advisor (RA), Student Engagement Ambassador, Governors Residential Hall Association (RHA) President, Engineering Teaching Assistant, SUNY SA Representative, and many more. Currently, I am also an Academic Assistant (AA) and I help on-campus residents with any Academic struggles they have. Through my experiences, I have developed and honed many valuable skills including but not limited to leadership, communication, collaboration, teamwork, organization, risk management, people management, data analysis, legal knowledge, and research skills. I have been recognized for some of the valuable work done winning recognitions like Paraprofessional of the Year and Council Executive Board Member of the Year. I am committed to learning and continuous improvement.
