ABOUT BECKY KNOTT
I am a barrister at Hogarth Chambers, specialising in Intellectual Property. I was Called to the Bar on 24th November 2022 and, after successful completion of pupillage, began my tenancy with Hogarth Chambers in April 2024. I have over ten years of experience in IP, having previously qualified and worked as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney and Trade Mark Attorney Litigator, before cross-qualifying as a barrister. I also worked as a Legal Advisor in the Litigation & Licensing team at Potter Clarkson October 2022 to March 2023, to gain insight in the world of an IP solicitor. I am an active member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys, sitting as a member of CITMA Council and on both the CITMA Law & Practice Committee and the CITMA Litigation Working Group. I teach at Nottingham Trent University on the Professional Certificate in Trade Mark Practice at Nottingham Law School, and I have also co-authored the chapter on \'Seniority\' in the CITMA & CIPA European Union Trade Mark Handbook with Emmy Hunt of Potter Clarkson.
