ABOUT BECCA LORY HECTOR

I help Autistic and Neurodivergent adults build lives that fit, and I support the people and organizations ready to make space for us. As an openly Autistic consultant, advocate, speaker, and researcher, I use both lived and professional experience to challenge assumptions, shift culture, and create tools for authentic living. My work lives at the intersection of identity, belonging, and autonomy. I’m the creator of Self Defined Living, a self-paced course designed for Autistic adults who are done masking and ready to build something better. I’m also the author of the bestselling book \'Always Bring Your Sunglasses\', a personal exploration of burnout, late identification, and reimagining success on our own terms. Through my consulting work, I collaborate with individuals, communities, nonprofits, and institutions to: – Center Disabled and Neurodivergent voices – Build affirming and inclusive environments – Share powerful stories that challenge the status quo – Lead with integrity, care, and interdependence Whether I’m delivering a keynote, mentoring a late-identified Autistic adult, or shaping inclusive research, I do it with one goal in mind: to make sure Autistic people feel seen, heard, and supported, without having to become someone else to belong. Based in Maine | Speaker | Author | Consultant | 🧠 Researcher Let’s connect if you’re ready to co-create something better. Key Skills: Neurodiversity Inclusion, Disability Advocacy, Autistic Consulting, Inclusive Leadership, Workplace Accessibility, Burnout Recovery, Self-Advocacy, Belonging, Keynote Speaker, Virtual Course Creator, Researcher
