ABOUT BECCA BYCOTT

I am a stakeholder management and strategic communications leader who helps senior executives across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors elevate their organizations and personal brands through partnerships, community building, and social impact initiatives. My specialties include:* Establishing long-term, trusted relationships with C-suite executives, donors, and Board members* Identifying and optimizing mission-aligned partnerships* Growing membership communities* Using thought leadership to inform rebranding efforts* Designing high-impact events that prioritize diverse perspectives* Collaborating across teams to drive broader business growth and innovationI currently serve as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at the Public Affairs Council, where I lead efforts to deepen and expand strategic relationships that support the Council’s long-term growth, revenue, and member value.Additionally, I am the Founder and Principal of Meeting the Moment Advisory, where I advise senior leaders on navigating complex challenges and aligning their organizations with the issues shaping our world. My work includes researching trends impacting top priorities, strengthening strategic messaging and brand positioning, and advising on high-level stakeholder engagement strategies.I also spent several years leading the FiscalNote Executive Institute (FNEI), a think tank housed within a global tech company. Under my leadership, FNEI grew from a quality, grassroots thought leadership group into an internationally recognized, award-winning community featuring +1,300 members from prestigious global companies and organizations. FNEI brought people across industries together to discuss top issues in geopolitical risk, AI, sustainability, public affairs, and DEI, and was known for organizing timely, relevant discussions. Senior leaders frequently referred their peers to FNEI because they loved its unique programming, personal outreach, and dynamic, inclusive community. Earlier in my career, I directed partnership strategy at the Milken Institute; managed social media for five U.S. Assistant Secretaries and led trainings at the State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs; served as a speechwriter supporting a university rebrand; and worked in public relations at a contemporary art museum.Outside of work, I enjoy supporting the visual and performing arts, mentoring, writing, and hosting dinner parties with friends who have never met each other. I love bringing people together in creative ways to expand their perspectives.
