I founded my eponymous studio in 2011 in NYC, creating luxury sculptural lighting. The studio remains in NYC, and I remain committed to making my work to the highest standards and in the USA.I make collectible design for clients who are mindful and purposeful about creating and shaping their lived environment. With an eye towards the future, these clients create inspirational spaces and are investing in works that will persist for generations. I create heirlooms that look beyond trend and instead engage timeless form by harnessing impeccable craftsmanship. My creative process involves all phases, from conception through engineering and final construction. Because of this involvement from start to finish, the work retains its initial vision in a way others cannot.

   Bec Brittain was founded in Brooklyn in 2011, designing and producing the critically-acclaimed SHY light. All designs are made in New York, using a variety of techniques and a network of local fabricators and artisans, and every piece is assembled by hand in the studio. Bec Brittain is a small-scale studio – crossover and cooperation insure that everyone has a role in everything, creating a strong and tight-knit team. This hands-on method is equally effective for projects both small and large, and for both production pieces and custom projects. The studio has the expertise and experience to execute projects at many scales, including large, site-specific commissions.
