About Beau Cummins
Hugh S.\"Beau\" Cummins was vice chair and COO of Truist. Prior to the BB & T and SunTrust merger of equals, Cummins served as co-chief operating officer at SunTrust. Cummins was chairman, president, and chief executive officer of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, the corporate and investment banking division of SunTrust from 20••••13, then served as the commercial and business banking executive. He joined SunTrust in 2005 as head of debt capital markets ultimately leading all capital markets. Cummins held several leadership positions at Bank of America in Charlotte and New York. He began his investment banking career at Citibank in Global Derivative Products in Chicago. Cummins currently serves on the board of directors of Atrium Health Foundation in Charlotte. He has served as chairman of the World Affairs Council of Atlanta, on the Owen board of visitors at Vanderbilt University and was a two-term member of the Business Advisory Council at Miami University’s Farmer School of Business. Cummins earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
