Conduct a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction group for parents of children/adults with intellectual and developmental disability. It follows the curriculum developed by the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center in Nashville, Tennessee. I teach mindfulness techniques and attitudes to assist parents in developing moment-to-moment awareness to live an expansive full engaged life. Also, participants learn formal and informall guided mindfulness meditation and build a sense of community as they share common experiences.
