ABOUT BEATRIZ LOPEZ

Results driven HR professional with a background blend of SME, corporate and non-profit experience and a healthy dose of scepticism towards unnecessary HR hyperbole. I believe that excessive bureaucracy and rigid (talent-repelling) process obedience should be replaced by a common sense/collaborative style approach to HR, aiming to promote engagement, culture creation, freedom and a sense of professional direction and development that addresses genuine employee and business needs. Acknowledged for delivering on targets, I provide a pragmatic, knowledgeable and straightforward approach to the Human Resources function that focuses on offering- support to the employee - operational HR support to the business/organisation- strategic HR support deliver long-term objectives While not shy of decision making, I favour a collaborative approach to problem solving, have an inquisitive mind, a tendency to challenge rigid (‘that’s the way we’ve always done it’) mindsets and a preference for establishing uncomplicated, helpful, achievable processes (where needed) that will add real value to a company, rather than ticking a box.My preference is a stimulating SME/Start-up environment with an entrepreneurial spirit where critical thinking and questioning are welcome and where HR can play a meaningful/visible role in professionalising the business and helping build company culture.Originally from northwest Spain, professionally trained in the UK and currently living in London, I value diversity and all the benefits it brings to the workplace.
