Connecting DSS with private and non-profit partners and the philanthropic community, to develop new and innovative opportunities, and to improve services and benefits to the clients.• Identifying opportunities for new partnerships by both responding to formal funding opportunities and proactively pitching ideas to funders for public-private partnerships. • Testing innovative approaches with the goal of the Agency adapting successful programs into City- funded services. • Proactively making connections in response to needs identified by agency leadership and links agency and philanthropic priorities.• Serving as a central clearinghouse for requests, collaboration and endorsement by receiving incoming requests for partnerships that span the gamut from organizations offering discounts or services to clients, technology firms developing new business solutions directed at DSS’ clients or work processes, and funders designing new initiatives and seeking DSS support and managing requests from external organizations for letters or certifications of DSS support to accompany proposals for Federal, State or private funding. • Facilitating in-kind donation opportunities, managing offers of in-kind donations and handling associated tracking and reporting.• Managing funder/partner relations by serving as DSS’ primary liaison to the philanthropic community.
